"Not the Last Supper". Art produced in the aftermath of the events of 9/11 has become the focus of many recent exhibitions. Such creative expressions have grown to be a meaningful part of our national healing. The exhibition, "The Last Supper: Homage to and Moving Beyond Leonardo Da Vinci", is emblematic of this genre as it seeks to address the nature of art itself while providing a valuable and needed perspective reflecting on our ongoing cultural dialogue. The premise of the exhibition: to present an opportunity for artists to create community is all encompassing in its scope and verb.This exhibition´s significance is born out of the genuine nature and dedication of the twelve artists involved with this project as they derive their artistic statements from the famous Da Vinci, painting "The Last Supper".
